Spanish for Travelers class to start Feb. 5

Looking to escape the Alaska winter by traveling south? If you’re heading to a Spanish speaking country, you’ll be able to brush up on your Spanish-speaking skills with five sessions of ‘Spanish for Travelers’ class offered by Kenai Peninsula College’s Resurrection Bay Extension Site.

This will be instructor Tara Swanson’s second time teaching the course in Seward.

“My objective is that students are able to build their ‘tool box’ of travel-specific language and have an opportunity to practice and polish their language skills,” Swanson said. “I am excited that so much interested has been generated around language learning in our community!”

The class is geared toward people who have future travel plans to a Spanish-speaking country, who want to dip their toes into learning a new language, or who want to participate in an engaging group activity every Tuesday night.  The class is fast-paced, but can be adapted for all ability levels.
