Seward is ready to ring in the New Year.
Tonight, Seward Parks & Rec is hosting a Middle School New Year’s Eve Rock-in from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Teen Rec Room. There will be food, drinks, activities, prizes, music and more. Entry if $5. For more information call 224-4056.
The Cookery is hosting a New Years Eve Dinner starting at 5 p.m. The four course meal costs $55 per person or $75 per person with wine pairings.
The Pit Bar is hosting a “early laid back New Year’s Eve” with a pot luck starting at 6 p.m.
The Yukon Bar is hosting a rocking evening of their own with the Purple Rain New Year’s Eve Dance Party. DJ Hankerchief will provide the soundtrack for an evening of lace, purple dresses, diamonds and pearls. (Just avoid hopping in any little red corvettes after a night on the town).
Why not pick up a new hobby in 2019? On Jan. 2, and every Wednesday after, Parks & Rec hosts the Archery League from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Alaska Railroad Terminal. There is a $5 drop-in fee.
On Jan. 6, Alaska Seafood Grill is hosting a bath salts making course from 2 to 3 p.m. All materials will be provided, including a 6oz jar for participants to take home.
Also on Jan. 6, Angel’s Rest Resurrection Bay’s Gathering House is hosting a 2019 vision board gathering and potluck. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bring old magazines or crafting gear to visualize 2019 goals. Bring a potluck item to share as well. Art supplies and refreshments will be provided. Angel’s Rest Resurrection Bay Gathering House is located at 13725 Beach Drive on Lowell Point.
